Kilgore Boys Baseball Association’s 10-and-under all-star team

READY FOR BUSINESS – The Kilgore Boys Baseball Association’s 10-and-under all-star team (pictured) is set to play in their age group’s Dixie Youth Baseball state tournament this weekend in Center. The 10-U’s will play Splendora at 10 a.m. Saturday. The team includes: Blade Chitwood, Kaeson Clayton, A. Evans, Jaxon Herrin, Braddox Johnson, K. Sanders, Kellen Smith, Ja’Kaivian Snow, Kevin Tinney, Davis Tryon, Chase Wilcox and Maddox Wright in addition to Kason Henry and MR Adamez, who have been added to the team to fill out the state tournament roster.

State tournament title dreams ended, unfortunately, for Kilgore’s remaining T-ball all-star team last weekend, but a pair of all-star squads still have their tournaments to play.

Both the 10-and-under and 14-and-under Kilgore Boys Baseball Association all-star teams are still swinging, with the 10-U’s set to play this weekend.

The T-Ball Red KBBA all-stars played in their final Dixie Youth Baseball action of the summer last weekend in Center, in the Region I South Division T-Ball state tournament. T-Ball Red won their district tournament to get to that point.

Congratulations on a good summer to T-Ball Red all-stars Paladin Baxter, Cullen Burns, Holden DeKoker, Miles Gaut, Ryan Johnson Jr., Waylon Ligon, Cooper Nichols, Griffin Richard, Cody Shead Jr., Colton Strong, Judson Swaim and Brayden Wheeler. The team was coached by Randy Gaut, Daniel Wheeler, Ryan Johnson and Jeremy Strong.

The 10-U’s and 14-U’s also both play their state tournaments in Center, which seems to be the hub of Dixie Youth this summer.

The 10-U’s will play Splendora in the first round this Saturday in Center, at 10 a.m. All of the all-star tournaments are double elimination.

This year’s 10-U KBBA all-stars are Blade Chitwood, Kaeson Clayton, A. Evans, Jaxon Herrin, Braddox Johnson, K. Sanders, Kellen Smith, Ja’Kaivian Snow, Devin Tinney, Davis Tryon, Chase Wilcox and Maddox Wright. Their coaches are Joey Chitwood, Eric Smith and Aaron Chitwood.

Due to prior commitments, a pair of the 10-U’s – Snow and Herrin – won’t be able to play in the state tournament. But coach Chitwood has added two replacements: Kason Henry and MR Adamez.

The 14-U’s get a little more practice time. Their version of the state tournament starts Saturday, July 13.

Members of the KBBA 14-U all-star team this year are Landon Abbatoye, De’Quincy Emond Brown, Rylan Copeland, Raymond Espinoza, Taylor Gibson, Colby Grimes, Dylan Wayne Harris, Kain Hogue, Trent Lopez, Kobie Newlen, Jordan Dwight Pierce, and Bransin Walker. Their coaches are Nick Newlen, Jarred Tate, Gene Gibson and Mason Shelton.
