The 14-and-under all-stars from the Kilgore Boys Baseball Association have had to practice, get ready and bide their time while the other KBBA all-star teams all took their turns playing various tournaments.

Now the 14-U’s get their shot.

They’ll be the latest team from Kilgore to make the trip to Center this weekend for their own state tournament. And they’ve got an early draw. The 14-U’s, coached by Nick Newlen, jared Tate, Mason Shelton and Gene Gibson, are going to play at 8 a.m. Saturday against a team from Livingston.

This year’s 14-U all-stars are Landon Abbatoye, De’Quincy Emond Brown, Rylan Copeland, Raymond Espinoza, Taylor Gibson, Colby Grimes, Dylan Wayne Harris, Kain Hogue, Trent Lopez, Kobie Newlen, Jordan Dwight Pierce, and Bransin Walker.

Kilgore’s 10-and-under all-star team played their tournament in Center over the weekend, and were eliminated Sunday night.

The 10-U all-stars for the state tournament were MR Adamez, Blade Chitwood, Kaeson Clayton, A. Evans, Kason Henry, Jaxon Herrin, Braddox Johnson, K. Sanders, Kellen Smith, Ja’Daivian Snow, Devin Tinney, Davis Tryon, Chase Wilcox and Maddox Wright. Coaching the team were Joey Chitwood, Eric Smith, and Aaron Chitwood.
