LOCALS HELP TJC WIN NATIONAL TITLE!

A couple of proud moms – Regina Rawls and Kim Callahan – pose with their sons, Ren Reynolds and Cooper Rawls, after the boys helped Tyler Junior College win its sixth NJCAA national baseball championship last week at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tenn. TJC beat Niagra County Community College, 5-4, on Wednesday in the national championship game. The Apaches went 4-0 in the tournament and outscored their opponents 40-15. Rawls graduated from Hallsville but played much of his childhood in the Kilgore Boys Baseball Association with friend and teammate Reynolds. Congratulations, boys – and moms!
