KC hall of fame tourney Sept. 27
Kilgore College’s annual hall of fame golf tournament – held Friday, Sept. 27, the day before the newest class of the KC hall of fame is inducted – will be a 10 a.m. start at Tempest Golf Club, just off Highway 135.
It’s a two-man scramble, a $75-per-person or $150-per-team entry, with proceeds going to the KC athletic department.
That registration includes green fees, a cap, a cart, and breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served beginning at 9 a.m.
Clay shoot fundraiser is Oct. 19
The annual sporting clay shoot fundraiser for the Kilgore High School Hi-Steppers is Saturday, Oct. 19, at Prairie Creek Sporting Clays. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with a safety meeting at 8:20, and a shotgun start at 9:30.
Breakfast and lunch are included with registration.
To sign up, it’s $100 for an individual shooter, or $400, of course, for a team of four. The entry fee includes the tournament play, the meals and a mulligan for each team member.
Sponsorships are still available, too, ranging from $100 for a hole sponsorship to $1,000 for a title sponsorship, which includes two four-person teams and premium signage for the event.
