Men’s city championship this weekend

Meadowbrook Golf and Event Center will host its annual men’s city championship tournament this Saturday, Aug. 17, and Sunday, Aug. 18.

It’ll be a 10 a.m. tee time Saturday morning, and a 1 p.m. tee time Sunday afternoon. There will be gross and net divisions.

It’s a $40 entry fee for those already members at Meadowbrook, and an $80 fee for non-members who’d like to enter. To enroll for the city tournament, players must have a business inside the city, live inside the city limits, or be a member of the club.

Kilgore chamber tournament Sept. 13

The annual Kilgore Chamber of Commerce golf tournament will be played Friday, Sept. 13, at Tempest Golf Club, just off Highway 135.

The format is four-person scramble, a $500 entry fee per team that includes cart and green fees for the four, and a bloody Mary brunch. There are also sponsorships available.

Rahab’s benefit tourney Sept. 20 at Tempest

There will be a benefit golf tournament for Rahab’s Retreat and Ranch on Friday, Sept. 20, at Tempest Golf Club..

The tournament is a four-player scramble, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Registration is $150 per player, and includes two mulligans. The fee includes the golf and cart fees, a meal, entry into the long drive contest, and four closest to the pin prizes.

Those who don’t enter with a team will be paired with others who enter as singles.
