OVERTON – Valorie Fields tossed in seven points to lead the Overton Lady Mustangs over the visiting Winona Lady Wildcats, 31-28 Tuesday night.

The Lady Mustangs trailed at halftime, 16-14, but used a stiff defense in the third period to limit Winona to just two points.

Peyton Sartors scored four of her six points in the third along with Te'Leyha Tilley's three points and a Haley McMillan's free throw to give Overton a 22-18 advantage.

Fields scored three in the fourth period and Sarrah Garrett iced the game for Overton when she hit the front end of a one-and-one with less than four seconds to play.

The Lady Mustangs improved to 4-3 on the year and will be playing next in the Mount Enterprise tournament this weekend.
