Ms. Sandra M. Armstrong of Kilgore, passed away March 29, 2019 at the age of 75 years.  She was born May 13, 1943 in Longview, Texas. Preceded in death by her father Buster A. Armstrong, her mother Fannie (Lummus) Armstrong, and her brother Travis Armstrong.  

Sandra is survived by her sister, Linda Causey, of Kilgore; nephew, Wes Causey and wife Sonya Causey, of Overton; sister-in-law Mary Ann Armstrong and children, of Sabine; and numerous other family and friends.

Ms. Armstrong received a Bachelor of Science from Southwest Texas State University, in 1981. After college she went on to be a certified Cytotechnologist from M.D. Anderson Hospital School.  In the field of Cytology, Sandra worked specifically with nearly every branch of the military and helped save thousands of lives.  She served in this field for 16 years.  She was always fond of animals and when she was not working in the field of Cytology saving lives, she was saving animals.

In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
