Della Jo Wood -
Born May 5, 1927, Died July 19, 2019. She lived a long full life. She worked and retired at Kroger. She loved her family and her dear friends. She was a member of Vet. Lady Aux.
Della loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved playing bingo and doing her quilting and all other kinds of hand work. She will be missed by her loving family and friends. Preceded in death by Herbert Hoyt Wood Sr. ( Husband), Herbert Hoyt Wood Jr. (Son), Joe Dale (Dobber) Wood (Son), Donald Ray Poteet Jr. ( grandson) and Loving son-in-law Larry Douglas Avant Sr. Family & Friends are: Jean Osburn Daughter Montgomery, Tx , Chuck & Brenda grandchildren San Augustine , Tx, Meagan Pool great grandchild Dallas Breyson, Great great grandson Justin Partney great grandchild ( Longview), Beck & Larry Bradley grandchildren Montgomery , Tx. Abbey & Jason Gentry great grandchildren Montgomery, Tx. Chandler and Chase great grandchildren Montgomery, Tx . Hoyt and Lorrie Wood grandchildren Lake City, SC, Wendy great grandchild, Great great Grandchildren Ella, Kenzie and Camron. Raye Nell Avant Daughter, Krisiti & ABBO Abernathey Grand children Judson, Tx, Karlee Mae Abernathey Great great grandchild, Rob Hall serving in the Navy in Guam. Micheal III Abernathey , Judson , Tx. Larry Douglas Avant Jr. & Daniele Longview, Tx. Zach Brix Great Grandson Shreveport, LA. Cara Brix Avant Great Grandchild, Logan Avant and Nathan Avant grandsons of Spring Hill, Tx. Layneigh Avant great granddaughter and Courtland Avant Great Grandson of Longview, Tx.
Nieces Judy Slusser, Sue Odom, Deanie Deshazer, Betty Madewell, Katherine Johnson Nephews Jim Ed Cline, Tony Cline, Bobby Joe Johnson and a Great Niece Kay Torrence and Husband Billy and there son Stephen great nephew. And two very special friends Frank Castor and Theresa Hays.
A Celebration of life will be at Eastview Church of God with Curtis Wood Pastor and nephew officiating Saturday Aug 10th @ 2:00 pm in Kilgore, TX.
