A Celebration of the life of Bonnie Jo Dyer, 90, of Kilgore will take place in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore at 2pm on Monday, January 28, 2019, with Dr. Glenn Young officiating. Private family interment will take place in the Kilgore City Cemetery. Mrs. Dyer completed her earthly journey on Thursday, January 24, 2019 in Kilgore.

Bonnie was born on January 7, 1929, in Kilgore to O.D and Retha Lacy and was a lifelong Kilgoreite. She graduated from Kilgore High School. Bonnie worked in several grocery stores until her retirement. Her family was the source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest. Bonnie will always be remembered for her sweet and loving kindness to all. Her beautiful smile will be remembered by all who came into contact with her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Teresa Merritt of Kilgore; grandchildren, Lacy Merritt-Blalock and her husband Chase of Longview, Lonnie Henderson and his wife Leigh Ann of Little Elm; Great-grandchildren, James Michael Blalock, Taylor Merritt Blalock, Christopher Henderson, Casey Rollins and Jamie Henderson. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces and nephews, friends and other loving family members.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Marie Bass, Nelwyn Ford, Lizzie Walker, Chester Lacy, Husband, Herbert L. Dyer, daughter Freida Henderson and grandson Michael Wayne Merritt, Jr.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Arabella of Kilgore and Hearts Way Hospice for their compassionate and loving care for Bonnie during the final days of her earthly journey.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3 until 5.
