Wildcatters TNR, a Kilgore group which is working to reduce feral cat populations in the area, is hosting their first fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 5, at Atwoods.
A press release from Teresa White of the Wildcatters contains info about the event.
"The volunteers at Wildcatters TNR are organizing a fundraising event. This will be our debut event and we are really thrilled about the opportunity and are expecting to have 200 – 300 participants. The Fundraising event will help Wildcatters purchase supplies like pet carriers, cages, puppy pads, tables/chairs, brochures and such for increased community awareness and furthering our TNR efforts.
Our event will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Atwood’s Ranch and Home Supply, 1811 US Highway 259 N, Kilgore, Texas. (903) 983-3200, www.atwoods.com
If you have never visited Atwood’s before it has everything to offer for your ranch, farm, home, pets and personal use; including old-time candies, jelly and drinks.
Wildcatters is an all-volunteer Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program operating in the City of Kilgore, Texas. Wildcatters is not a City managed program. We are working in collaboration with Kilgore Animal Control to help manage the feral cat population in the City of Kilgore. A substantial number of cities and counties across the United States successfully practice Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). The objective of this program is to humanely trap, spay or neuter, vaccinate, ear tip/notch (for identification purposes) and return each feral cat to its original habitat or colony in its designated area, reducing the population by sterilization."
