Sabine ISD’s Cardinal Prize Patrol, an annual tradition, made their rounds of the campuses early Wednesday morning, cheering and playing music as they surprised teachers in their classrooms with oversized checks.

The grant funds will be used by the teachers to purchase supplies or educational materials for classroom projects, presentations or special activities.

Each year, Sabine ISD hosts a fundraiser event and encourages teachers to submit grant applications for their ideas for classroom projects and special activities. The teachers with the best ideas are rewarded with the money to fund these special projects. Thousands of dollars were awarded during Wednesday’s event.
