Kilgore College’s annual football skills camp will begin Monday, June 10 and run through Friday, June 14, at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium, here in Kilgore, on Harris Street.
The camp is for ages seven through 15, and is non-contact, meaning no tackling. Participants will be taught the fundamentals of football and given instruction in all phases of the game.
Cost for the camp is $100, and includes instruction, meals a KC football and camp certificate. Pre-registration is available, for $50. Registration for the camp is officially held from 7 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. on the first day, June 10. Cost and the balance is due the first day.
There will be lectures on motivation, self-discipline, drug abuse prevention, academics, strength and conditioning. Trainers will be on duty at all times, and there will be individual instruction by the KC football coaching staff.
Players will be divided into groups according to position, and there will be current and former Division I players on hand. Awards will be given out daily. Space is limited to the first 125 sign-ups.
