Lunch Time

Vehicles line up at Char-Burger Stockade Monday afternoon to pick up to-go orders. Many Kilgoreites are turning to local eateries to obtain their favorite meals, from hamburgers to Mexican cuisine and fried chicken. While Gov. Greg Abbott's order prohibiting dine-in service at restaurants statewide is in effect, restaurants across Texas are offering drive-thru and curbside pick-up service to keep hungry patrons fed and restaurant workers in their jobs. Many Kilgore restaurants are doing the same, from Char-Burger to Johnny Ozark's to Las Tejanitas. Check out a new Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/groups/KilgoreAreaTakeOut, for up-to-date information on which Kilgore eateries are offering the service.
