Jason Romine 10 Years

Kilgore Police Chief Todd Hunter awards Traffic Ofc. Jason Romine with a certificate recognizing 10 years of service to the department at Tuesday’s board meeting. Hunter joked Romine is “one of the most feared individuals in the city” because he is KPD’s lone traffic officer. Romine began his law enforcement career in 2001 as a jailer in Rusk County and became a certified police officer there in 2002. He worked for the Henderson Police Dept. from 2003 to 2008 as a patrol officer and sergeant in the traffic unit. Romine joined KPD in 2009.

At Tuesday's city council meeting, Kilgore Police Chief Todd Hunter, council members and fellow officers honored Traffic Officer Jason Romine for 10 years of service with the department. Romine is the city's only traffic officer and has worked with KPD since 2009 but began his law enforcement career in Rusk County in 2001.
