For everyone who enjoyed shopping for fresh produce, gifts, eats and more at last year’s Kilgore Farmers Market, you don’t have long to wait for its return. Starting April 15, the market will be open for business downtown every Saturday, weather permitting, from 8 a.m. to noon through Oct. 28.

The City of Kilgore is sponsoring a Tire Take Back Day Saturday, April 22, offering locals a way to get rid of old tires legally and for free. Local residents can bring off-the-rim passenger car and truck tires to 2700 E. Texas 31, next to Kilgore Muffler, from 9 a.m. to noon. Passenger car and truck tires only, no tractor, semi-truck or race car tires.
