The City of Kilgore announced Monday that TxDOT has given the go-ahead to reopen Pentecost Road. Locals will surely be glad to resume normal use of the road, which has been closed to traffic since May 2022. TxDOT began the project of demolishing and replacing the Pentecost Road bridge just over a year ago and initially projected the work to take three or four months. At (long) last, it is complete, and the new bridge looks great!
