The Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale at McMillan Memorial Library, 401 S. Commerce St. in Overton, will be Wednesday, Oct. 20 through Friday, Oct. 22 during library hours, Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds will support and enhance activities and programs of the library.

Kilgore College Theater will present a modern version of the 18th-century classic, “The Servant of Two Masters,” set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 7-9, with a matinee performance 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10.

Kilgore ISD is partnering with the Northeast Texas Public Health District to offer another COVID-19 vaccination clinic to all Kilgore ISD students (12 and older), staff members and any family members of KISD students or staff who are interested in receiving a free vaccination.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9 at Kilgore Intermediate School, 2300 Whipporwill Lane, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vaccinations will be free to all students, staff and their families. The clinic will offer the first and second doses of the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

This is a walk-up clinic, so no appointment is required.

KISD is not requiring any students or staff members to be vaccinated for the 2021-2022 school year, but is offering the clinic as a courtesy service to the KISD family and Bulldog community.
