The Kilgore Police Department has a solution for folks who need to get rid of old, expired or leftover prescription medications. You can drop them off at Walmart to Officer Angela Burch on Oct. 23 or at any time in the police department lobby in the bright red drug receptacle vault (no needles, liquids or creams in this vault).
Kilgore ISD has announced they have received several notices from concerned parents who have received fraudulent phone calls appearing to be from KISD, stating that there is an investigation regarding their child. The district wants parents to know these are spam phone calls and are in no way related to KISD or any of their campuses. If you have questions or concerns regarding your students, please contact your child’s campus immediately.

On Thursday, they were visited by Chet Garner and the crew of The Daytripper, a long-running television show that explores the most exciting eateries and travel locations across the Lone Star State. We’re glad to see one of our unique local restaurants getting recognized by the show and you can see photos from the visit in Saturday's edition.
