The Kilgore Public Library’s “Tails and Tales” Summer Reading Program finishes at the tail end of next week, July 23! Join KPL at 301 N. Henderson Blvd. for the read-in next Tuesday, July 20, at 10 a.m. and get your questions answered so you can complete the program!

Join the Kilgore Public Library for one last fun Tuesday event before school starts: Farm Day!

Meet at 10 a.m. under the large pavilion at Kilgore City Park to learn about ducks, goats, chickens, and rabbits. There will be a presentation of live farm animals and hands-on activities.

The Lazy Splash Ranch opens at 11 a.m., so come prepared to get wet to cool off afterwards.

  

Kilgore College will host COVID-19 vaccination clinics for the community with the first one set for 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 19, in the carpeted gym of Parks Fitness Center, 701 Laird St., on the Kilgore campus.

Additional dates for the KC clinics are: Monday, Aug. 9; Tuesday, Aug. 31; and Tuesday, Sept. 21.

The second dose will be available at least 21 days after the first dose.

Appointments are recommended; however, walk-ins are welcome.
