The Kilgore Legacy Foundation’s Juneteenth Celebration kicks off today at Kilgore City Park at 11 a.m. The celebration will be preceded by a parade starting at South Kilgore Street and East Danville at 10 a.m. Come to the park to celebrate unity in our community and enjoy vendors, food and fun.

City of Kilgore has announced several local railroad crossings will be closed over the next two weeks as Union Pacific crews make repairs. Please exercise caution around work crews at the following locations and dates:
June 18 — Lantrip Street
June 20 — Southport Road
June 21 — Spinks Chapman Road

The Kilgore Public Library will host “Oceans of Activities,” a fun summer activity program taking place each Tuesday in July. Enjoy ocean-themed come and go activities from 3 to 4 p.m. July 5, 12, 19 and 26.

Kilgore High School invites the community to come to help wish Karlee Menges good luck at SkillsUSA Nationals competition next week. On Monday, June 20 at 7:20 a.m. will host a send-off for Karlee as she leaves for Atlanta, GA from the Circle Drive at KHS.
