The Colonial Dames XVII Century’s New England Chapter of Kilgore met Sept. 25 at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplain Judy Carpenter opening with prayer.

Parliamentarian Carroll Bolton lead the pledges to the American, Texas and Colonial Dames flags, and Scholarship Chairman Othodell Smith noted the five various Colonial Dames XVII Century scholarships available to local students.

Sally Moseley presented the program on “Puritans in Colonial Virginia.”

Our next meeting is Nov. 20, with Suzanne Cappel presenting the program on “Virtual Jamestown.”
