Kilgore’s first-ever Unity in the Community fest had a nice turnout last Saturday at the city park, with some ladies donating hours of their time to cook pulled pork and other food for the event. There was music, and local churches and community leaders were there, interacting with the crowd. It is believed that it’ll be the first one, with more to come. (Photos by LINDA K. BALLARD)
