The East Texas Council of Governments has once again been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
This is their 19th consecutive award.
The award was given for ETCOG’s comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2019, with officials saying “The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive ‘spirit of full disclosure’ to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.”
“Nineteen consecutive years receiving this recognition from an independent source is an outstanding achievement,” said ETCOG Executive Director David Cleveland. “It is also reflective of ETCOG’s commitment to financial accountability. I am so proud of our entire Operations Team for their relentless pursuit of excellence!”
The East Texas Council of Governments Operations Division, which includes David Cleveland, Executive Director; Wendi Horst, Operations Director; Rhonda Barber; Gini Blackwell, Sloane Bodle; Lynda Bond; Robin Emmel; Christy Fowler; Christy Green; Dawn Goodeman; Noweka Harvey; Rita Hitt; Patricia Hudspeth; Elizabeth Jones; Glenda Lamothe; Michaela Marotta; Monty Scroggins; and Kim Zimmerman, received the award.
