Forest Home Baptist Church is inviting congregants and the public to their twenty-seventh annual Drive-Thru Nativity. Set for Thursday, Dec. 12 through Saturday, Dec. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m., the holiday event’s many scenes, actors and decorations will reflect the Christmas spirit.
As always, the event is free and open to the public. Hot chocolate will be provided to guests at the entrance.
The nativity, which has become a tradition for many East Texans over the years, will feature many of the same sets and scenes locals will find familiar, with a few slight changes.
“We are changing some of the sets a little bit just to make it a little different,” said Wanda Billings, FHBC Ministry Assistant.
The Drive-Thru Nativity includes over 150 cast members in 13 different scenes, including Santa’s workshop, Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, The Polar Express, singers and handbell ringers, a biblical market, shepherds in the field, the Nativity and much more, according to the FHBC website.
Located at 15746 Co. Rd. 173 in Kilgore, visitors can line up for the drive-thru in the church parking lot.
