Kilgore Community Relations Manager Sonya Waters has released aerial drone photos of the completed Chandler Street Improvement Project.
After six months of work, the project wrapped up Friday, Dec. 20. The project has completed a full month ahead of schedule at a cost of $1.18 million.
The project replaced the existing asphalt pavement with concrete from the bus lane at Chandler Elementary to Leach Street and widened the road providing a center turn lane.
The water and sewer lines were replaced on Chandler Street and were relocated behind the curb. Sidewalk ramps were installed the length of the project to prepare for a future sidewalk project.
