On Thursday, Nov. 10, the Coterie Club met at 11 a.m. at Rachel Brian’s home, 10 Eden Place. Janie Edmonds served as co-hostess.

President Sharon Williams called the meeting to order, and welcomed guest Susan Ash. The minutes were read by Secretary Margaret Cibele and approved. She also mentioned that the previous meeting’s article/picture was published in the e-edition of the KNH after a request had been made for it to be published in the paper edition. Judi Purvis gave the treasurer’s report of $2,146.01. Cristi Langley gave an interesting program with excerpts from the book “Empire of the Summer Moon.” She traced the lives of the first settlers into Comanche territory from 1835-1870. After 35 years of hardship, peace was achieved in the land that is now Texas.
