Danville Masons

The Danville Masonic Lodge (established 1852) presented Mike Clements with the Community Builder Award from The Grand Lodge of Texas on Saturday, June 5.

Clements was selected by a committee and voted by the membership of this lodge to receive this award. The award was then approved by the Grand Lodge of Texas. The award was presented on behalf of Danville Masonic Lodge No. 101 Worshipful Master Jack (Josh) Slagle by his father, John Slagle, chairman of the selection committee.

The Community Builder Award was designed by the Grand Lodge of Texas to enable a Lodge to recognize outstanding non-Masons who have distinguished themselves through their service to the community, local and state governments, places of worship, or to humanity at large. Community Builders are often found in service clubs, public school systems, religious activities and all kinds of volunteer work. They are everywhere you look but often go unseen and sometimes un-thanked.

Clements was selected by the lodge for his unselfish aid to the community and individuals alike.
