The Kilgore Lions Club celebrated two outstanding Kilgore High School students at a recent meeting.
Jayci Pyle, class of 2023 salutatorian, and Fabiola Venegas, valedictorian, were selected by Kilgore High School as the Students of the Month for April, and the Lions, as they do every month, hosted the students for a meal and a chance to talk about their plans after graduation.
KHS Principal April Cox, Lions Club President Jill McCartney White and Brookshire’s Assistant Manager Hunter Pipak presented the students with a plaque commemorating their achievement. Students are selected for the honor not only for their good grades, but also for their participation in extracurricular activities and achievements outside the classroom.
