Martin Creek Lake State Park

A campsite sits empty at Martin Creek Lake State Park on Monday, May 18, 2020. As part of Gov. Greg Abbott's loosening of restrictions on statewide businesses shuttered because of the COVID-19 pandemic, state parks could begin allowing overnight camping with reservations beginning Monday. But an official at the park near Tatum said he was doubtful of any overnight guests — only two camping reservations had been made, and both were older reservations and no campers had checked in by the afternoon.
