The Kilgore College Workforce Development-Continuing Education department will offer continuing education courses in arc welding and airbrush techniques.

A six-week Beginning Arc Welding class will meet 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays Sept. 25 through Nov. 1 in the Whitten Applied Technology Building, Room 115, on the Kilgore campus.

The course is an introduction to the fundamentals of equipment used in oxygen-acetylene and arc welding including welding and cutting safety, basic oxyacetylene welding/cutting, basic arc welding processes and metallurgy.

Cost of the 36-hour class is $355.

A six-week Fundamentals of Airbrush class will meet 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays Oct. 3 through Nov. 8 in the Automotive Body Repair Building on the Kilgore campus.

This course will provide students with detailed knowledge and hands-on usage of an airbrush and airbrush equipment. Fundamentals taught in the class can be used for illustration artwork, custom automotive graphics, culinary arts cake decoration, custom fingernail art or other hobby applications.

Cost of the 36-hour class is $255.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age to participate in both classes.
