A memorial graveside service for Travis Armstrong, 79, of Kilgore, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Rusk County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Efrain Cirilo officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Armstrong passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born Aug. 1, 1938 in Kilgore to the late Buster A. and Fannie Lou Armstrong. Travis served his country in the US Air Force from 1961-1963. He was an owner/operator in oil field services.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, William Gordon.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Armstrong; son, Travis Armstrong Jr. and wife Tori; daughter, Kathy Edmondson; four grandchildren, Logan Edmondson and wife Kayla, Lane Edmondson and wife Ty, Gage Armstrong, and Ayden Armstrong; three great-grandchildren, Peyton and Paisley Edmondson, and Kinslee Edmondson, all these of Kilgore; sisters, Sue Armstrong and Linda Causey, also both of Kilgore; niece, Pamela Gordon of Longview; nephew, Wesley Causey of Kilgore; great-nephew Blaise Wingo, and great-niece and great-nephew, Haylee Gordon and Bryce Gordon, all of Longview.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
