The last BINGO fundraiser of the year for Kilgore Boys & Girls Club is set for Nov. 15.
There’s a pre-Thanksgiving spread in the works, says Julie Beck. She runs the monthly event at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with sister Carrie Jackson and other volunteers.
Dinner begins at 6 p.m. that Thursday night at $12 for adults and $7 for children 12-and-under. BINGO begins after the meal (about 7 p.m.) at $10 per card (three for $20) and cash prizes for winners.
The menu Nov. 15 includes chicken and cornbread casserole, green beans, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes.
“Carrie’s going to make something fabulous for dessert,” Beck said, “probably pecan cream pie and then we’ll have something chocolate. So, it’ll sort of be a Thanksgiving feast.”
Proceeds, as always, benefit the Rusk County Boys & Girls Club – Kilgore Unit.
Taking a break in December, ““This is the last one we’ll have for this year, but then we’ll start up next year,” Beck said, as early as January.
