There’s a wide range of musicians headed for the stage of Dodson Auditorium later this month – channeled through singer and impressionist Tony Pace.
The Las Vegas showman reaches Kilgore through Kilgore Community Concerts Association: the third show of the group’s 2017-2018 season begins at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at 817 Nolen St.
“When energy, music, and comedy collide, it’s a guarantee Tony Pace is on the stage,” according to Live on Stage, KCCA’s Nashville-based partner in bringing entertainers to town. “With a combination of hilarious musical comedy, crazy characters, dead-on impressions and versatile musicianship, there’s a seemingly endless supply of explosive raw energy all wrapped around one of the most incredible serious voices in this Las Vegas headliner.”
A season ticket to Kilgore Community Concerts is $45 per person and includes reciprocal admission at concerts throughout the region. Tickets purchased at the door are $30 each. Student admission is free with school ID.
Pace enjoys “headliner status” on stages in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and around the world, Live on Stage reports, with more than 40 years’ experience in entertainment.
Through the Tony Pace Charitable Organization, the entertainer aims “To leave each day better than you found it and make a difference.” He focuses the nonprofit on philanthropy for veterans, an outreach he’s been promoting since the 1980s.
Pace’s set-list is broad, featuring scores of songs – there’s no concrete plan for one of his shows as he adapts the line-up of selections from multiple genres to his latest audience.
“He has learned the craft from the ground up,” per Live on Stage, with a diverse understanding of all areas of performance: “The incorporation of his voice, talent, quick comedic wit, musicianship and a keen sense of audiences makes him the phenomenon you need to experience.”
Following Pace’s show Jan. 22, the final performance of KCCA’s 2017-2018 season features Kilgore ISD Director of Orchestras Tristan Roberts conducting the newly-formed Kilgore Chamber Orchestra at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.
