Seniors enjoy musical guest

President Sally Melton opened the Oct. 11 Kilgore Senior Citizens Club meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Ray Drost gave the prayer for the meeting and the meal.

Debbie Moore, secretary, read minutes from last meeting which were approved as read.

Gloria Kennedy, treasurer, gave the treasury report. It was approved for audit.

New officers will be elected soon. Debbie Moore read clubs by-laws.

Entertainment for this meeting was singing by Diane McGregor. She sang "Back in Baby's Arms," "Country Sunshine," "One Day at a Time," "Move It on Over," "Blanket on the Ground" and others.

Next meeting on Oct 25 will be a Halloween party. Everyone should come dressed in costume for contest.

Spaghetti and meatballs were served for lunch with other side dishes and desserts.

There were 23 members in attendance: Ginger Anglin, Sylvia Bennett, Billy Brown, Reo Calender, Dave Conner, Eva Nell Drost, Ray Drost, Leona Halbert, Mary Hall, Doris Hampton, Judy Irving, Cliff Kennedy.

Also, Gloria Kennedy, Jewel Matlock, Sally Melton, Katherine Miller, Debbie Moore, Stella Morris, Shari O’Brien, Irene Reid, Joyce Riddle, Nita Woodcock and Ruth Yielding. Three guests attended.

Everyone 55 and over is welcome to attend our meetings and enjoy the fellowship and entertainment. The next meeting will be October 25 at the Lions Club building, 307 N Rusk St. Gatherings begin at 11:15 a.m. with a short business meeting followed by bingo or guest entertainment at 11:30 a.m. Dinner is at noon.
