A Celebration of Life for Robert Ray Cochran, 81, of Kilgore, was held on Tuesday, March 27, at Good Springs Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Richmond officiating under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family received friends following the service at the church. Mr. Cochran passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Longview.
Mr. Cochran was born September 24, 1936, in Henderson. He graduated from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1958. He was retired from Region VII Education Service Center in Kilgore and was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Kilgore.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Cochran; two daughters, Julie LePelley and husband Jack of Price, and Kimberly Cochran Victor and husband Mike of Youngsville, La.; granddaughters, Hannah LePelley and Savanna Puckett and husband Collin, and three great-grandchildren, Elijah LePelley, and Bonnie and Creed Norman. He is also survived by one cousin, Rex Cochran and wife Karen of Baton Rouge, La., and nephew Tony Cochran of Port Vincent, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Inez Cochran; brother, James Cochran, and grandson, Trey LePelley.
