Kilgore College’s Rangers survived the weekend, winning a pair of home games, and now take Thanksgiving off.
The Lady Rangers, though, have a different challenge.
KC’s men’s basketball team defeated Tomball and Cedar Valley here over the weekend, and are off through the Thanksgiving holiday. The Rangers (6-1) will be back in action Saturday at home at 4 p.m. against East Texas Flight.
The Lady Rangers, though, were to open Region XIV Conference play on Tuesday night at home against San Jacinto. See kilgorenewsherald.com now to find out how that game turned out.
KC’s ladies (5-0) go back to non-conference play this weekend. They’ll be in the Collin Classic at Collin College in Allen – they face Seminole (Okla.) State on Friday at noon, and Collin College on Saturday at noon.
KC 98, Tomball 52: The Rangers had about as good of a first half as a team could have against Tomball, scoring 44 first-half points. The Rangers went 20-of-26 in shooting in the half, and finished 38-of-57 in the game.
