Services for Patsy Ann Watson Walker, 80, of Kilgore will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 24, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Kelly Brian and Reverend Marvin Denison officiating. Mrs. Walker passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in Longview.
Patsy was born September 4, 1937 in Rusk County to Henry Lark and Irene Waller Watson. She attended Kilgore Public Schools. Mrs. Walker was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she was the oldest living charter member.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her adoring grandchildren. Patsy loved to travel spontaneously with her beloved Alton; just getting in the car and going wherever they ended up as long as they were together.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter, Katina Green and husband David of Longview; sons, Kenneth Alston and wife Nancye of White Oak and Dewey “Buddy” Walker and wife Melisa of Kilgore; three brothers, Erskine Watson and his wife Laverne of Kilgore, Everett Watson and wife Shirley of Tyler and Major General Retired Gerald G. Watson of Jacksonville, Ala.; her aunt, Evelyn Banda of Kilgore; grandchildren, Justin “Judd” Green, Amber Robinson and husband Jeremiah, Nathan Green, Seth Alston, Taylor Walker, Jackson Walker, Cory Shipp; great-granddaughter, Aubri Shipp; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Alton Watson; her husband, Alton “Pug” Walker, and a sister-in-law, Carol Ann Watson.
