Services for Nelda June Mosley, 84, of Liberty City, were held Tuesday, March 27 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral home chapel, Overton. Burial followed at Overton City Cemetery.
Nelda passed away on March 24, 2018 at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. She had been a resident of Liberty City for the last 14 years.
She was born October 8, 1933 in Desdemona, Texas, to the late Elsie and Lyman Northcutt. She had one younger brother, Jerry Glen Northcutt. Mrs. Mosley was a graduate of Leverett’s Chapel High School.
June was married to Michael David “Mickey” Mosley in the summer of 1968 in New London. They lived in East Texas for several years before moving to Minden, La., in 1981. The Mosleys moved back to East Texas at retirement, living in Arp and then Liberty City.
Besides her parents and brother, Mrs. Mosley is preceded in death by her stepfather, Dr. Roger Bowles of Overton, and nephew Kerry Northcutt.
Mrs. Mosley is survived by her husband, Mickey Mosley of Liberty City; her five children, Ricky Lewis and wife Stacy of McKinney, Cindy Hedrick of Longview, Dennis Hedrick of Longview, Sandy McCrary and husband Dewey of Liberty City, Randy Lewis and wife Beth of Kilgore, and Candy Norris of Leverett’s Chapel; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; 11 sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
