Marilyn Turner Watson


A celebration of the life of Marilyn Watson, 73, of Kilgore will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Hampton officiating. Mrs. Watson died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home.

Marilyn was born January 6, 1945 in Kilgore to Morris and Alma Turner. She was a 1963 graduate of Kilgore High School. Marilyn attended beauty school, she was an artist who enjoyed painting and she enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Watson was a big fan of the recording group Pink Floyd. She loved her family and would get excited when her daughter Honey would come to fix her hair.

Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband, Howard Watson III of Kilgore; children, Greg Johns and his wife Sebina of White Oak, Jason Mabry and his wife Yana of Longview, Sundi Jackson and her husband Mitch of Marietta, Honey Small and her husband Jason of Hallsville, Wendy Watson of Kilgore; brothers, Jerry Turner of Yantis, Larry Turner and his wife Joyce of Kilgore; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family received friends at Rader Funeral Home Tuesday evening.
