Malcolm “Lynn” Arden, 67, gained his wings on August 30, 2018 in Tyler. He was born on August 3, 1951. Lynn was given a second lease on life in 2004 when he received a kidney transplant.
Lynn was known for his incredible work ethic. He had a love for history, an ornery attitude and a great sense of fashion. His tender heart and always caring for others showed until the very end.
He recently retired from truck driving where he worked for many different companies in East Texas, even owning his own company at one time, Arden Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Luther Arden; brother, Michael David Arden, and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Nicholson Arden; daughters, Keri Ross (Eddie), Haley Thomas (Caleb) and Tammy Torres; his mother, Billie Jean Arden; siblings, Terry Arden, Kevin Arden, Lori Rosas (Alex) and Jason Arden (Belinda); and grandchildren, Tori Self, Carli Self, Lainee Self, Bryce Linkinhoker, Addison Thomas, Eric Cabrera, Veronica Vasquez, Priscilla and Presley Torres.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 5 at Danville Methodist Church in Kilgore. The family will be available for visitation at 3 p.m.
