CROSS-COUNTRY
KHS, Sabine in district meets

Weather-permitting, both Kilgore High School and Sabine High cross-country teams were to compete in their respective district meets this week; Kilgore in District 16-4A, and Sabine in 16-3A.
Kilgore, coached by Phillip Lane (boys) and Heidi Hagan (girls), was to run in Gilmer in a meet that got moved up to Tuesday due to several runners in PSAT testing, and results weren't immediately vailable for this issue of the News Herald.
Lane’s Bulldogs have won district five straight years; the girls finished second last year, but wound up making the state tournament in Round Rock.
See results from Kilgore's meet online at kilgorenewsherald.com today, and coverage in Saturday's print edition.
Sabine meet will be at the course at LeTourneau University in Longview.
Sabine cross-country is coached by Jason Heffner.
