KHS, Sabine tickets on sale
Season ticket packages for last year’s season ticket-holders at both Kilgore High School and Sabine High School are on sale to the general public beginning next week at KHS, and beginning Aug. 21 at Sabine.
At Kilgore, anyone who didn’t have seats last season and wish to go purchase them may do so this Monday, Aug. 13.
Season ticket packages this year are $35, which includes a ticket for all of Kilgore’s home games: the season opener against Nacogdoches on Friday, Aug. 31, then for Hallsville (Sept. 7), Pittsburg (Sept. 28; that’s homecoming), Henderson (Oct. 19), and Palestine (Nov. 2).
Road games aren’t included in season tickets. But Kilgore plays at Pine Tree Sept. 14, at Texas High Sept. 21, at Chapel Hill Oct. 12, at Van Oct. 26, and at Carthage to close on the regular season on Nov. 9. Kilgore’s open date this year is Oct. 5.
The district opponents this season are Chapel Hill, Henderson, Van, Palestine and Carthage, with Van being the newcomer (replacing Bullard on the schedule).
The annual watermelon fest is this coming Thursday night, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. outside the Mitchell Field House.
KHS scrimmages at Gilmer next Friday, Aug. 17, starting with freshmen and ninth grade at 6 p.m., and then hosts Kaufman for a scrimmage on Aug. 24, with the same start time and set-up.
Season tickets for Sabine home games this fall are on sale in the high school office, from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The tickets are $25 per package, which includes a ticket to each of the Cardinals’ five home games this year: Harleton on Sept. 14 (homecoming), Elkhart (Sept. 21), Tatum (Oct. 5), West Rusk (Oct. 19), and Gladewater (Nov. 2).
Sabine opens the season on Aug. 31, at Carlisle, then plays at Shelbyville Sept. 7, before that first home game against Harleton.
