Sand tourney fundraiser Saturday
The Kilgore High School volleyball program will host a sand tournament for a fundraiser here at Meadowbrook Park on Houston Street this Saturday, July 28, starting at 9 a.m.
The tournament will feature teams of five people each, and there’s a $20 registration fee. Proceeds will go, of course, to the KHS volleyball program.

KSA sign-up continues Saturday
The Kilgore Soccer Association will continue registration for the fall season this Saturday, July 28, at the KSA complex just off of Highway 135 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Registration is $80 for the first child, and players should bring their birth certificates. The KSA ranges in age from three years old (must be three by July 31) to U-19.

Sabine tickets on sale Aug. 1
Season tickets for the 2018 Sabine High School football season’s home games will start on Aug. 1, for those who had season tickets last year. Tickets will be on sale in the high school office, from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Tickets for the general public will go on sale Aug. 21.
Sabine opens the season, the second under head coach Rex Sharp, on Aug. 31, at Carlisle, then plays at Shelbyville Sept. 7. The first home game is against Harleton on Sept. 14 (that’s homecoming). Other home games include Elkhart (Sept. 21), Tatum (Oct. 5), West Rusk (Oct. 19), and Gladewater (Nov. 2).
KC girls camp Aug. 6-10
Kilgore College’s Lady Rangers basketball program will host their annual summer camp for girls in all ages of school beginning Monday, Aug. 6, through Friday, Aug. 10.
Girls in first through fifth grades will have camp those days from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Girls in grades sixth through eight will be at camp from 10 a.m. until noon, and ninth through 12th grades will camp from 1 p.m. until 4.
The cost is $40 per camper, which includes instruction and a camp T-shirt, and the camp will be conducted by the coaching staff and current Lady Rangers. Registration will be the first day of camp.
