There are, effectively, two seasons within a school year for the Kilgore College softball program, and coach Leslie Messina’s Rangers will start the smaller fall season today at home.
The Rangers will host Jarvis Community College, Mountain View College and Eastern Oklahoma today in round-robin fashion to start the 2017 fall campaign. KC gets Jarvis first, at 9 a.m., will face Mountain View at 10:50, and then take on Eastern at 6:10 p.m. tonight.
KC is also home on Wednesday afternoon in a 1 p.m./3 p.m. doubleheader against Hill College.
The fall schedule is the smaller of the two seasons, and wraps up in early October. KC plays its games at its new complex, at the site of the former Kilgore Heights campus on Houston Street.
