Livesay leads rookie standings, third overall

Posted

It’s not really a stretch to say that Lee Livesay has been one of the top fishermen on the Bassmaster Tour through the tour’s first three events.

And Livesay, in his first year, is making a name for himself quickly.

The former Kilgore High School football standout finished 15th in the 2019 Toyota Bassmaster Elite at Lake Lanier (in Gwinnett, Ga.), over the weekend, catching 44 pounds, 2 ounces of fish and upping his standing on the year overall.

Livesay has 181 points this season through the three events, and that leads the rookie standings (he then currently is the favorite for rookie of the year). Livesay is also third – just one point out of second – in the angler of the year standings.

Keep up with Livesay here in the Kilgore News Herald, and on bassmaster.com.
