A celebration of life for Larry R. Briggs, 71, of Kilgore will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Victory Road Baptist Church in Kilgore with Bro. Johnny Williams officiating. Mr. Briggs died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
Larry was born in Clarksville on Nov. 17, 1946 to Ed and Delanie Briggs. He served our country in Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He worked at Kilgore Ceramics and Owl-flex for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Kay Mundine, and a granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie of Kilgore; sons, Brian Edwards and Matthew Edwards of Kilgore; daughters, Katrina Briggs of Union Grove, Amber Briggs of Kilgore, Brittany Briggs of Kilgore and Julie Watts (Carter) of Buffalo, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Debbie Goff (Shot) of Leverett’s Chapel, Pam Muse (Doug) of Arkansas and Kim Briggs of Kilgore; brothers, Mark Briggs of Irving and Eddie Briggs of Lubbock; mother-in-law, Nettie Hare of Indiana; sisters-in-law, Brenda Grimes and Pam Grimes of Indiana; brother-in-law, Tony Pritchett of Indiana, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
