President Sally Melton opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Billy Brown gave the prayer for the meeting and the meal.

Debbie Moore, Secretary, read the minutes from the last meeting. No corrections approved as read. Gloria Kennedy, Treasurer, gave the treasury report. It was approved for audit.

This was our Fourth of July Celebration. Entertainment for this meeting was E’Beth Chappell who sang and played the piano. Songs played were I’m Feeling Fine, I’ll Fly Away, Amazing Grace, The King is Coming, Statue Of Liberty and Baptist to the Bone.

Roast beef, turkey and ham sandwiches were served for lunch with other side dishes and desserts.

Door prize was won by Nita Woodcock.

Everyone 55 and over is welcome to attend our meetings and enjoy the fellowship and entertainment. Our next meeting will be July 12, 2017 at the Lions Club building, 307 N Rusk St. We begin at 11:15 with a short business meeting then enjoy either bingo or guest entertainment at 11:30. Dinner is at 12:00.
