A third suspect was arrested Thursday following a March 31 shootout on Miles Street.
Kilgore Police Department announced Xiavier Leandre Epps was in custody Thursday, and the 21-year-old Ore City resident was booked into Gregg County Jail April 5.
He faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (a second-degree felony) after an 18-year-old woman was shot about 2:30 p.m. Sunday on Miles amid an exchange of gunfire.
Earlier this week, 17-year-old Isaiah Alexander Orange and Treylon Marshawn Stephenson, 18, were the first suspects taken into custody in the incident, which is still under investigation.
Details are limited as KPD’s case proceeds, and officials did not provide further comment this week.
As of press time Friday, Epps remained in Gregg County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
Booked Wednesday, Orange remains incarcerated on a $150,000 bond for aggravated robbery and an additional $3,500 bond for a charge of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana. Stephenson is being held on a $100,000 bond for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
