A manufactured home on Oehler Road appears to be a total loss following an early afternoon fire Friday.
The structure is located at the corner of Oehler and Denman Road off Hwy. 135. No one was injured in the blaze as firefighters from Sabine and Kilgore attacked the flames.
According to Sabine Fire Department Chief Richard Sisk, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at 12:51.
Kilgore Fire Department arrived and set up command, yielding to SFD minutes later – the residence is located just outside the Kilgore City Limits in Gregg County’s Emergency Services District No. 2.
“Everyone was out of the residence,” Sisk reported. “The homeowner tried to put it out with an extinguisher.”
Kilgore Rescue Unit and Christus EMS responded to the scene as well, but the trailer’s occupant wasn’t injured.
“We just cleared ’em,” Sisk said.
Firefighters were still dowsing the structure with water and foam 45 minutes into the call, ensuring any remaining embers were extinguished.
