Evalyn “Dashielle” Spear Graves, longtime resident of Rockwall, departed her earthly home for Heaven November 6, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Henderson Boulevard, Kiglore. Lunch will be served afterwards.
Dashielle was born in Kilgore to Elwyn and Claudia Spear on December 25, 1947.
Dashielle worked for Texas International Airlines for many years then moved into a long career in commercial property management in Dallas.
Dashielle was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David Spear; her first husband, Jimmy Dorman, and her niece, Caree Arceneaux.
Dashielle’s pride and joy were her FOUR children, daughter Jaime of Rockwall, daughter Desira and spouse Jason of Rowlett, son Jimmy and spouse Christine of Dallas and son Chase and spouse Angie of Gainesville.
Dashielle also leaves behind her sister Diane Hogan of Rockwall, nieces Cavette and Charla and nephew Joe.
Besides being an incredibly generous and caring mother to her children, Dashielle’s happiest times were spent laughing with her grandchildren: Ashley, Taylor, Lexington, Jacob, Charis, Karissa, Hayley, Gracie, Presley, Evan, Elijah and with her two great-grandchildren: Lily and Maxwell.
Her passion for serving others was forever instilled within the girls she mentored at Lake Point Church.
Dashielle’s charisma and contagious laugh along with her nature for giving will be remembered by all who ever met her.
